The most prolific class of cabincars on the PRR by far, therewere more N6b’s than most railroadshad cabooses! Evolvingfrom a smaller “bobber” stylecaboose on lines west, theN6b became a standard systemwide before steel cars becamemore popular due to theirsafety. Dozens of the venerablecabins remained in regular serviceinto the late 1950s and early1960s before the last survivorswere relegated to work trainsor sold.New to the Lionel roster, theN6b is a must have for Pennsymodelers and very similar to carson other roads as well. Loadedwith interior and exterior details,the N6b is available in the mostcommon Pennsylvania paintschemes.
